The acmfund is happy to announce that it is now accepting submissions for the 2012 Adrian’s Project* Award. In its inaugural year, Adrian’s Project is accepting submissions from performing artists working in the realm of physical comedy.
Winners will receive production support from the acmfund for a completed show that is 30 to 60 minutes in length and ready to go on a three week tour in California (summer 2012).
Here’s the deal: we, at the acmfund, and our partners want to help bring you an audience and some well deserved attention. Here’s how we can: we have stages in three golden cities, and boy, do we want you on them! This tour will cover the high ground, the middle ground, and poke around in the southern parts as well. This is a competition like no other–one that comes with the full support of many talented and dedicated people who want your work to succeed and be seen!
Submission guidelines can be found here. Please read them carefully, and follow them thoroughly!
We ask you kindly to please send this along to all the wanderlust gypsies with clown degrees and fool’s diplomas you may know. The deadline for submissions is December 13, 2011. Winners will be announced February 13, 2012.

The Adrian Cervantes Mejia Fund
*Adrian’s Project is an annual grant giving performing arts competition for professional artists in the early stages of their careers. It helps get shows on the road, fly collaborators in for a gig, and assists in paying for that rehearsal space. It throws in for the popcorn, and showcases need-to-be-seen performers of all kinds through residencies, and/or specific production and development grants. Adrian’s Project changes annually.
